The 8plus4 NATIVE URBAN CLOTHING BRAND is in part a fusion of High Street Fashion design narratives and the creative force of Hip Hop fashion culture. The same Hip Hop fashion revolution that was birthed many decades ago in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas and evangelized world wide today.
Our attraction to the Hip hop creative is not only influenced by its elaborate, vivacious and daring boldness of ideas, but by the inability of any brand to box the genre. It’s a blank canvas of boundless creative possibilities that hinder no expressions and conform to no straitjacket boardroom interpretations.
That fusion explains the Urban.
The other “part” derives from an amalgam of the irrepressible creative genius of the colorful rich art and fabrics-driven Native African fashion and the deceptively simple, sunny effervescence of Caribbean fashion. The line of demarcation between these two trends is sometimes so thin it’s liquid.
